Your local Lyttelton pizza joint

History

Arbour Bar became popular with Lyttelton locals in post-earthquake Christchurch as a quirky pizza pop-up that surfaced on warm days during summer. After a three year hiatus, it is back as one of the first fully commercial builds in Lyttelton since the quakes.

Think local

With a menu that follows the seasons using almost exclusively New Zealand sourced ingredients, our highly experienced, dedicated pizza chefs work with our beautiful woodfired oven to produce stunning artisanal pizza you can’t get anywhere else.

We believe in supporting local. Our menu showcases local breweries, wineries and food producers.

We have a selection of plant based pizzas, sides and desserts and we have gluten free bases avaliable.

Some of our local suppliers:

Cassels Brewing Co —  a family owned, award winning Craft Beer Brewery, located in Christchurch, New Zealand.

27 Seconds —  Change a life with each purchase. 100% of their profits go towards ending modern day slavery.

Whistling Bouy —  Our very own harbour basin vineyard! Grapes grown on the beautiful hills of Charteris Bay.

Forager —  A family project by award winning Waipara wine maker Dominic Maxwell. A unique & rare vintage.

Lothlorian Organic Feijoa Sparkling Wine —  The only certified organic feijoa winery in New Zealand.

Little Biddy Gin from Reefton Distillery —  Created in honour of Reefton legend Little Biddy, a pipe-smoking, gin-toting, 4 foot tall goldminer. Our search for native botanicals takes us deep into the same West Coast rainforest where Biddy once fossicked for gold, to craft a uniquely New Zealand gin with a pioneer’s attitude.

Mikaku Tea Blends —  Organic, fruits & herbs, dehydrated & blended with spices

Unique aesthetic

Housed in a new building featuring a clear roof, exposed wood finishings, a repurposed 120-year-old Lyttelton fishing boat as the bar, and packed with plants, our arborist owners want you to feel like you are walking into a giant glasshouse.
